The successful candidate - holds an excellent Ph.D. in bibliometrics or related fields - is familiar with software for analysis and visualization in bibliometrics - has a publications record that includes papers in international journals - possesses advanced proficiency in English and German. The profile of the post includes services and research activities. Among the former are - performing bibliometric analyses and conceiving/managing bibliometric surveys - development and validation of methods, procedures, and standards for open access publications - counseling Bielefeld scientists and scholars regarding bibliometric questions. Research is supposed to be devoted to - bibliometric indicators - the communication system of science (including open access) - data-driven research.
