Dear Mr. Reckling,
thanks a lot for providing this useful information. I have a question concerning point (2): Did the fwf monitor only gold oa compliance?
best regards

Dear Colleagues,
Please find attached following Open Science News from Austria:
(1) The Vienna Principles: A Vision for Scholarly Communication in the 21st Century A group of young researchers and science administrators of the Open Access Network Austria (OANA) has published a first version of The Vienna Principles: A Vision for Scholarly Communication in the 21st Century<https://zenodo.org/record/55597#.V2OXlY9OIic>. The principles can be annotated and discussed via: http://viennaprinciples.org/
(2) Open Access Compliance Rate at the FWF The Austrian Science Fund (FWF) has published a study (incl. dataset) on the Open Access compliance rate: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.55249
We found a share of 83% of all peer-reviewed publications coming out of FWF projects is openly accessible, but the methods and tools of tracking Open Access publications have to be significantly improved.
Since the document is work in progress, comments are very welcome.
3) Open Library of Humanities (OLH) in Vienna on 5 July Caroline Edwards from the Open Library of Humanities<https://www.openlibhums.org/> talks on "How the Humanities are Changing Academic Publishing" on 5 July at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, see: https://www.fwf.ac.at/en/service/calendar/event/kid/20160705-548/
It would be great if you could share it with your community.
Kind regards,
Falk Reckling
