- Subject: [IP-OA_Forum] New: Two white papers on sustainable OA publishing
Dear colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we inform you of the publication of two instructive white papers as part of our project "Innovative Open Access in Small Sciences”. They summarise our survey of the German diamond OA landscape, the evaluation of financing models, the analysis of sustainable and inclusive publication technology, and finally provide recommendations for scholar-led open access publishing practice.
Waidlein, N., Wrzesinski, M., Dubois, F., & Katzenbach, C. (2021). Working with budget and funding options to make open access journals sustainable. HIIG Discussion Paper Series 2021-1. 32 pages. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.4558790
Wrzesinski, M., Riechert, P. U., Dubois, F., & Katzenbach, C. (2021). Working with publication technology to make open access journals sustainable. HIIG Discussion Paper Series 2021-2. 27 pages. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.4558781
The positive resonance to the InnOAccess (DFG-funded) project encouraged and enabled us to secure funding for a new project: starting in April 2021, we will conceptualise consortial support structures for scholar-led journals in small and interdisciplinary fields, together with our Project partner Knowledge Unlatched. The new project is called Scholar-led+ and is funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research.
With best regards,
Marcel Wrzesinski
