Webinar: Good Metadata Practice for Open Access Books – hosted by OIPA/OABN
OIPA is pleased to announce a new forthcoming webinar, jointly organised by the Open Access Books Network (OABN), focusing on ‘good metadata practice’ for open access books.
Metadata is a crucial aspect of the publishing process for open access books for both publishers and librarians, but misunderstandings and confusion about good or ‘best’ practice persist, particularly for those unfamiliar with creating and managing metadata and technical standards. We hope this webinar will offer attendees practical guidance and a forum for asking questions and sharing good metadata practice for open access books.
During this webinar, we’ll hear from an expert panel of speakers from EDItEUR, Penn State Libraries, and Thoth Open Metadata, offering advice and answering questions about metadata for open access books.
Panelists will each speak for 15 mins, followed by an extended Q&A session to facilitate questions from attendees and offer more detailed support.
