Hi all,
You might already have seen this but just in case -- the Open
Access Books Network (OABN) is running a free webinar on Monday
27 April at 3pm BST about how to make OA books more accessible,
and it will feature Copim's accessibility work.
We've got a great panel of speakers: Jo Fitzpatrick will be
talking about the free resources Copim has developed to help
small presses with accessibility; Richard Orme of the DAISY
Consortium will be talking about why accessibility matters to
readers and the free tools DAISY have developed to help
publishers (including a brand new tool to help publishers
produce accessible files); and James Rice from White Horse Press
will talk about how a small press has tackled the challenge of
making accessibility a priority despite operating with small
budgets and constrained resources.
I hope this will be of interest to some of you on this list.
There's a blog post about the event (although
that essentially says what I've put in this email!) or you can
register directly: https://univ-amu-fr.zoom.us/meeting/register/qpnL-2wxTbuB9abb8-qmww#/registration
All best wishes,
Lucy
