Ein Meilenstein für die deutsche PID-Landschaft: Nationale PID-Roadmap veröffentlicht!

Wie lassen sich persistente Identifikatoren (PIDs) in der deutschen Wissenschafts- und Kulturlandschaft nachhaltig verankern und vernetzen? Die "PID-Roadmap für Wissenschafts- und Kultureinrichtungen in Deutschland" liefert dazu erstmals einen strategischen Fahrplan.

Die Roadmap basiert maßgeblich auf den umfassenden empirischen Erhebungen des Projekts PID Network Deutschland, darunter die umfangreiche PID-Umfrage aus dem Jahr 2024 (https://doi.org/10.5334/dsj-2026-028). Sie bündelt diese Erkenntnisse in fünf konkreten Handlungsempfehlungen, um das nationale PID-Ökosystem gezielt zu stärken und zukunftsfähig aufzustellen.

Das Wichtigste auf einen Blick:

  • Zweisprachig verfügbar: Die PID-Roadmap ist ab sofort sowohl auf Deutsch (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21703674) als auch auf Englisch (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21713802) erschienen.
  • Historisches Addendum: Begleitend zur Roadmap ist die Publikation „Über die Genese der deutschen PID-Infrastruktur“ als eigenständiges Addendum auf Zenodo (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21699994) veröffentlicht worden. Sie bietet einen tiefgehenden Einblick in die Entwicklung und die technologischen Grundlagen der PID-Landschaft in Deutschland.
  • Online-Seminar am 16. September 2026: Wer die Roadmap und ihre Empfehlungen im Detail kennenlernen möchte, sollte sich Mittwoch, den 16.09.2026, von 13:30 bis 15:30 Uhr vormerken. In diesem Online-Seminar stellen wir die Ergebnisse vor und gehen in den Austausch. A milestone for the German PID landscape: National PID Roadmap published!

The roadmap is based largely on the comprehensive empirical data collected by the PID Network Deutschland project, including the extensive PID survey conducted in 2024 (https://doi.org/10.5334/dsj-2026-028). It synthesizes these findings into five concrete recommendations for action to strengthen the national PID ecosystem in a targeted manner and ensure its long-term sustainability.
Key points at a glance:
  • Available in two languages: The PID Roadmap is now available in both German (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21703674) and English (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21713802).
  • Historical Addendum: Along with the Roadmap, the publication “Über die Genese der deutschen PID-Infrastruktur" (On the Origins of the German PID Infrastructure)  has been released as a standalone addendum on Zenodo in German (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21699994). The publication offers in-depth insight into the development and technological foundations of the PID landscape in Germany.
  • Online Seminar on September 16, 2026: If you’d like to learn more about the roadmap and its recommendations in detail, be sure to mark your calendar for Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. During this online seminar, we’ll present the findings and lead in a discussion.
