[IP-OA_Forum] SeDOA'S new online event series: "This Is How We Do It - International Best Practices for Diamond Open Access"

Dear colleagues and Open Access enthusiasts,

SeDOA (Servicestelle Diamond Open Access) is pleased to present its new online event series:

"This Is How We Do It - International Best Practices for Diamond Open Access" brings together global experts to go beyond theory and dive into the practical realities of Diamond Open Access.

International guests will share insights into Diamond Open Access activities and challenges at their institutions, as well as how these are embedded in broader national efforts.

We warmly invite anyone interested in Diamond Open Access to join us for an hour of new perspectives and engaging discussions with our guest speakers.

First session

„This Is How We Do It: Diamond OA with Janeway at an Austrian University of Technology“

Speakers:
Christoph Hornung (Head of Publication Services, TU Wien)
Dr. David Krassnig (Open Access Manager, TU Wien)

Abstract:
TU Wien is the only Austrian university that operates its own Diamond Open Access journal hosting using the Janeway platform. It is also unique among German-speaking universities in using Janeway for conference proceedings. In this session, the speakers will give an overview of how Diamond Open Access publishing is organised at TU Wien — within the Austrian context, at a technical university, and using this specific software platform.
