[IP-OA_Forum] New blog post: strengthening the open infrastructure ecosystem for OA books through Thoth-OAPEN workflows

Dear all,

I’m pleased to share a fresh blog post on the newly-established Thoth–OAPEN SWORD workflow, which explores how open metadata and interoperable infrastructure can strengthen dissemination pathways for open access books.

The post looks at how the collaboration between Thoth Open Metadata and OAPEN, the early steps of which are dating back to the first phase of COPIM, supports a more joined-up workflow for OA book publishers, enabling book files and corresponding metadata to move effectively between community-led infrastructures. It also speaks to a wider challenge in scholarly communications: ensuring that OA books are not only openly available, but also properly discoverable, reusable, and integrated into trusted library, repository, and discovery systems.
