Dear colleagues and open access enthusiasts,

following the successful kickoff event for our new series in March, we are pleased to announce the next session in our “Diamond Open Access in Practice” series, which will take place on Friday 17 April. The second session of “This is how we do it - International Best Practices for Diamond Open Access” will focus on:

OAPEN and DOAB: Supporting Diamond Open Access and building trust in a global ecosystem

Jordy Findanis (OAPEN Foundation, Project Manager)

Abstract:
This presentation introduces OAPEN and the Directory of Open Access Books and how these platforms support diamond OA books through quality assurance, sustainability and international visibility. It will reflect on shared challenges for diamond OA initiatives and explore how infrastructures like OAPEN and DOAB can connect with and support community-driven efforts (such as SeDOA).
