[IP-OA_Forum] OA Datenpraxis Workshop "Open Access and Publisher Data"

Dear colleagues,

The DFG-funded OA Datenpraxis [1] project invites you to an online workshop on "Open Access and Publisher Data".

Transformative agreements have changed how scholarly publishing is funded. Yet the data publishers provide about these agreements often remains incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccessible. Reliable, open metadata is essential for monitoring agreements, analyzing costs, and making informed decisions about open access.
This workshop brings together experts to discuss how publisher data can be made more open and reliable - and how it can support practical work. It is aimed at colleagues working in libraries, consortia, research institutions, funding organizations, and infrastructure providers, as well as anyone interested in open research information.

Date: November 30, 2026
Time: 12:00–15:00 CET
Location: Online via Zoom

Speakers:
Sophia Dörner (SUB Göttingen): OA Datenpraxis recommendations on open metadata in transformative journal agreements
Hans de Jonge (Open Science NL): Why publisher metadata in Crossref remains incomplete
Arjan Schalken (SURF): Negotiating metadata openness into publisher agreements
Najko Jahn (SUB Göttingen): ORION-DBs and open research information at scale
Bianca Kramer (Sesame Open Science): Modeling publishing costs with open research information
