In continuation of his cycle 'American Myth', the German-American Ali Eckert shows pigment transfers on aluminum, an
industrial material that is an integral part of everyday life from the cars to beer cans to packaging material.  This
shiny and flexibel material serves him as a projection surface for the American myth.  Landscapes turn into
protagonists in search of their identity.

His special transfer technique gives the work a unique painterly look.  Eckert's color-saturated, 'low- key' images
are reminiscent of Flemish still-life painting.
