-------------------------------------------------- Original Message -------------------------------------------------- Subject: LOST - Searching For The American Myth From: ali@alieckert.de ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear JFK-Institute — I would like to invite you to my art exhibition in Berlin-Charlottenburg ’Searching For The American Myth’. It mirrors the ‚American Dream‘ and its current change of meaning. 'Old America’ clashing with ’New America’, a reflection of the current identity questions of American society. As a German-American artist, residing in Berlin, I would appreciate it if you could ’spread the news’ :-) If of interest I would be honored to give a tour through the gallery exhibition. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information. Thanks so much! Cheers from Schöneberg, Ali Eckert www.alieckert.com <http://alieckert.com/ali-eckert/american-mythology.html> +49-172-615.3660 ALI ECKERT Lost - Searching for the American Myth <https://www.hotel-mond.de/exhibition/ali-eckert-lost-searching-american-myth> July 3rd - August 7th In continuation of his cycle 'American Myth', the German-American Ali Eckert shows pigment transfers on aluminum, an industrial material that is an integral part of everyday life from the cars to beer cans to packaging material. This shiny and flexibel material serves him as a projection surface for the American myth. Landscapes turn into protagonists in search of their identity. His special transfer technique gives the work a unique painterly look. Eckert's color-saturated, 'low- key' images are reminiscent of Flemish still-life painting.
