Dear students, colleagues, and friends,

The John-F.-Kennedy-Institute invites you to the Inaugural Ernst Fraenkel Lecture on April 29, 4 to 6 PM, at Großer Hörsaal, Arnimallee 22.

The lecture will be held by Prof. Brook Thomas (University of California, Irvine), who will speak about “Birthright Citizenship, Ltd.: The Controversy over Trumps’ Executive Order 14610.”

Following the lecture, we will host the Ernst Fraenkel Dissertation Prize Award Ceremony. The prize is sponsored by the Foundation for Tolerance and Humanity and honors scholarship that “engage[s] in an exemplary manner with questions of democracy in the transatlantic sphere or from a broader comparative perspective.”

Afterwards, we will have an opportunity to celebrate great scholarship and kick off the summer term with a reception. Please RSVP using this link.
