Dear EAAS-members,

 

allow me to draw your attention to the call for papers for the Emerging Scholars’ Forum at the 24th International Conference of the Bavarian American Academy, which focuses on “Free Speech: Promises, Meanings, Controversies” and takes place from July 9 to 11, 2026, at Amerikahaus Munich in Germany.

 

We cordially invite doctoral researchers in American Studies and related disciplines to submit applications to both Prof. Dr. Kerstin Schmidt (Kerstin.Schmidt@lmu.de) and me (straub@amerika-akademie.de). The deadline for submissions is Sunday, March 15, 2026.

 

You will find the full call for applications on the Bavarian American Academy’s website and in the attached pdf-file. On our website, you will also find some information about the conference. More details about the conference will follow in the beginning of the new year.
