[JFKI-News] Invitation to Reading Event with the FU Review: "DEVOTED: The Texts We Carry"

["Starre, Alexander" <alexander.starre@fu-berlin.de>]

Dear colleagues and friends, dear students,

On behalf of the Culture Department, I would like to invite you to an upcoming literary event on Wednesday, June 24, at 2 pm in room 201. Over the past few years, the JFK Institute has collaborated with the Berlin-based literary journal FU Review on a number of events in multiple formats - from literary readings, to archive-based explorations, to creative writing workshops. This semester, the FU Review marks the publication of its newest issue with an event called “DEVOTED II: The Texts We Carry”. The event asks how we carry texts and return to them, write alongside them, and form communities around them. Bringing together literary reading and dialogue, the event reflects on the attachments that make reading, writing, and even criticism possible.

Please find the event poster and an additional flyer attached. The event is free and open to the public. Please spread the word among your students and friends.

More about the event on the JFKI website as well as on the FU Review Substack.

Looking forward to seeing you there,

Alexander Starre
