Well, no. That's not the problem. I traced the call and it's just trying to open /etc/wodim.conf. > >Cannot open SCSI driver! This is the actual problem and I think there is just one patch missing which cdrtools (in Macports) has but I have not applied yet. I just need to fetch the Macport patches for cdrtools and check what they do and then apply this work on cdrkit. > >For possible targets try 'wodim --devices' or 'wodim -scanbus'. > >For possible transport specifiers try 'wodim dev=help'. > >For IDE/ATAPI devices configuration, see the file README.ATAPI.setup from > >the wodim documentation. > > This is in case usal_open() returns an error, you can use -V to get more > information on libusal operations. > Maybe the devicename passed to usal_open() is not set correctly. -v doesn't help at all, btw: bash-3.2# wodim -v -scanbus TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM wodim: No such file or directory. Cannot open SCSI driver! For possible targets try 'wodim --devices' or 'wodim -scanbus'. For possible transport specifiers try 'wodim dev=help'. For IDE/ATAPI devices configuration, see the file README.ATAPI.setup from the wodim documentation. bash-3.2# > > You have compiled librols and libusal already in cdrkit. > In case libusal works if the right devicename is set > you can try to compile himdformat and test that. Well, there's another problem here. "make install" does only install wodim and the other utilities. Both the includes and the libraries for the linker are not installed. I have to dig more into that cmake stuff to understand why they are not installed. Adrian
