Macports installs all it's packages under /opt/local, including the packages for Python while the default version of Python of MacOS looks for the packages under: /Library/Python/2.6/site-packages I'm currently not sure how to properly fix that on MacOS X, but you can use the Python version from MacPorts in the meantime by calling the script with /opt/local/bin/python2.6: /opt/local/bin/python2.6 ~/linux-minidisc/netmd/lsmd.py -hUsage: lsmd.py [options] Options: -h, --help show this help message and exit -b BUS, --bus=BUS -d DEVICE, --device=DEVICE -u, --uuids I just tested that on Snow Leopard and it works fine. Just haven't found out yet how to fix it permanently, but I will investigate into that. > If I type python in the Terminal window, I get > > Python 2.6.1 (r261:67515, Jun 24 2010, 21:47:49) > [GCC 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5646)] on darwin Yes. The version is correct. Adrian
