And if i put an old normal minidisc into my RH1? That uses normal Atrac SP.

Is that possible?

No, currently not. We might integrate it into future versions though. The problem
is that currently there are only free decoders available for ATRAC1 and ATRAC3,
a decoder for ATRAC3+, which is the codec mainly used on HiMD devices,
is currently work-in-progress at VLC/ffmpeg and expected to be finished
by the end of the year.

Once ATRAC3+ is there, it will be very easy to implement. In fact, one could
write a very application which uses libhimd to stream the audio data directly
to ffplay for playback.
