Hello, we have committed a series of patches yesterday that hopefully fixed the remaining problems we had with the experimental MP3 write support on HiMDs. It should now be possible to write any MP3s supported by the 2nd and 3rd generation HiMD hardware using the command line utility 'himdcli'. I have updated the packages in the linux-minidisc Ubuntu PPA and also included some very basic manpages (man himdcli and man netmdcli) for the two command line utilities. To test HiMD write support, just connect and mount your HiMD to your Linux box and use the himdcli command as follows: himdcli /path/to/HiMD/root writemp3 inputfile.mp3 It should be noted that write support for HiMD is still experimental and should be performed on "toy" media only, i.e. not on any valuable HiMDs whose contents you'd like to keep. While himdcli won't fry your HiMD media, it may corrupt the filesystem on them and make the media unreadable. An updated version for Windows will hopefully shortly, for MacOS we are currently building the UI version only (qhimdtransfer) which still lacks the integration of the writemp3 code. Something that will hopefully occur within the next weeks. Adrian
