  • Subject: [linux-minidisc] MZ-RH1 and Kubuntu 11.04

Until recently, when I plugged my MZ-RH1 into my computer running Kubuntu 11.04, it would auto mount. Now though, it doesn't work and in /var/log/syslog I just see:

usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 10

scsi11 : usb-storage 1-1:1.0

scsi 11:0:0:0: Direct-Access SONY Hi-MD WALKMAN 1000 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0 CCS

sd 11:0:0:0: [sdg] 494023 2048-byte logical blocks: (1.01 GB/964 MiB)

sd 11:0:0:0: [sdg] Write Protect is off

sd 11:0:0:0: [sdg] Mode Sense: 00 2a 44 00

sd 11:0:0:0: [sdg] Assuming drive cache: write through

sd 11:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg7 type 0

sd 11:0:0:0: [sdg] 494023 2048-byte logical blocks: (1.01 GB/964 MiB)

sd 11:0:0:0: [sdg] Assuming drive cache: write through

sdg: unknown partition table

And that's as far as it gets. I have managed to successfully mount the device on my laptop running 11.10, but another desktop running the same version doesn't work.

uname -a shows:

Linux Rachael 2.6.38-13-generic #56-Ubuntu SMP Tue Feb 14 12:40:40 UTC 2012 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux

Has anyone got any ideas?
