The display during recording is generated by the recording utility we
use, which is the open source program "sox". "Hd:" means "head room" and
indicates how much decibels are still left before clipping. It is only

We have a PayPal donate button in the linux-minidisc Wiki on the front
page. see https://wiki.physik.fu-berlin.de/linux-minidisc/doku.php

If you feel like donating a small amount of money, feel free to do so.

Thanks you for your success report, and kind regards
  Michael Karcher
