I am afraid I do not know the current state of our tools by heart, by on
the low level, for SP transfers, you get raw uncompressed PCM on the USB
cable, which gets encoded to SP by the MD recorder.
Indeed Sonic Stage creates this raw PCM stream by decoding an LP2
encoded track instead of picking any better quality file (or even
uncompressed file) that is also associated with the same track. We do
not emulate this no-brainer and/or have no intentions to do so.
