Hi Jan and all,

I uninstalled my previous Platinum-MD and reinstalled everything following this (https://github.com/.../platinum-md/releases/tag/v1.0.0-RC1) and this (https://github.com/gavinbenda/platinum-md#osx). 

I can download LP4 and LP2 tracks in atrac formats into my computer. But the upgraded Platinum-MD seems a bit unstable. After I successfully downloaded one track, when I tried to download more, the software just hung there. I have to unplug and replug everything and re-do the whole process again. 

But the upgraded Platinum-MD seems a good starting point!

I am using the M200 (an equivalent to RH1). I also tried the Platinum-MD. But it only allows me to manage the tracks WITHIN the MD player, not allowing me transfer them to my computer.

Have you tried Platinum-MD by Gavin Benda. It's still a beta, but lots of interesting discussion going on here:

But after file transfer, the original audio files (no matter in LP2, LP4, Hi-SP, Hi-LP or PCM) will be automatically converted to .WAV format. As an archivist, I DON'T WANT the conversion. I hope to keep the files in their original codec and wrapper, such as the ATRACplus, ATRAC3 codecs. 

Could anyone give me some hints how I can achieve this?
