July GEAS Graduation Ceremony, Alumni Roundtable & Summer Party Our PhD candidates who graduated within the last year will receive their diplomas. In a following alumni roundtable, PhDs
from all cohorts have a chance to enquire about career perspectives and pathways after graduating. To unwind from academic work and as a start of the summer break, we’ll celebrate our annual Summer Party in the garden afterwards. Time

Mariia Kobzeva (School of International Relations, St. Petersburg State University) will stay at the department for China Studies between 24th and 30th June. She focuses on Chinese expert society’s impact on the PRC policy formation
and will visit the GEAS for an informal exchange meeting on 27th June. Also, Einstein fellow
Richard Samuels (MIT) will be back at the GEAS throughout June. You can find more information about his project at
