With temperatures rising, summer is finally approaching! Before things become a bit more quiet during the summer break, the Graduate School of East Asian Studies invites you to a number of interesting events in the next months:

5^th July

GEAS Graduation Ceremony, Alumni Roundtable & Summer Party

Our PhD candidates who graduated within the last year will receive their diplomas. In a following alumni roundtable, PhDs from all cohorts have a chance to enquire about career perspectives and pathways after graduating. To unwind from academic work and as a start of the summer break, we’ll celebrate our annual Summer Party in the garden afterwards.

As part of the Erasmus+ short-term program research fellow Mariia Kobzeva (School of International Relations, St. Petersburg State University) will stay at the department for China Studies between 24^th and 30^th June. She focuses on Chinese expert society’s impact on the PRC policy formation and will visit the GEAS for an informal exchange meeting on 27^th June.
