Dear Members of the JFKI Community, The Gleichstellungskommission is happy to announce that it will be hosting a two half-day workshop on gender and communication in the workplace on January 20th and 21st. Alexandra Kramm, a coach and trainer also used
by the Bundestag, will lead the sessions and will discuss issues such as the gendered nature of communication, use of voice and body language, and how to respond to difficult/uncomfortable/frustrating communication situations in the workplace. The workshop
will be limited to a maximum of 15 participants and is designed specifically for individuals who identify as women. The first half-day will be held online and the second half-day will ideally, if conditions allow, be held in person. All instructors, post-docs.
doctoral students, and staff who identify as women are welcome to register by replying to this email by January 15th. Places will be reserved on a first-come, first-served
basis. Participation in both sessions is expected. For further information, please see the program attached.
