Hi, in order to increase the pace of development and get more people involved with our project, I have registered our project for this years Google Summer of Code. In case we get accepted, Google Code will advertise a list of tasks that we have collected to student programmers who can then decide to tackle the tasks and get paid to implement the code. Together with Michael, I have collected a few important tasks from our TODO list and set up a new section in wiki: <https://wiki.physik.fu-berlin.de/linux-minidisc/doku.php?id=googlesummerofcode> If you have any comments or further ideas for this GSoC project, please don't hesitate to make suggestions. Please note that it is not yet decided whether Google Code will accept our application, they may still dismiss it. The decision will be made until the 18th of March and then made public. So cross your fingers that we will be lucky to be chosen by Google Code to receive support. Adrian
