thanks for your documentation bug report. I updated the tutorial and there now is the following at the top:

== Differences Between Subversion Checkouts And Release Archives ==

The main difference is that the release archives directly contain the projects/library folder. Thus, you have to remove projects/library from all paths below in order for the commands to work correctly, e.g. cd cmake instead of cd projects/library/cmake.
