Hello Michael,

I gave the minidisc recorder to a colleague who installed SonicStage at home and she was able to retrieve the file and convert it to wav format without major problems. Then I reinstalled Windows and SonicStage on the computer at work that I first used and was able to do the same. So I think it is a Windows problem, not an QHiMDtransfer problem. Any idea when the ATRAC3+ to wav will ever be 

implemented in ffmpeg? Thanks for everything!

The file header looks fine to me. I try it with Sonic Stage the next
days. For sure, it is not the Content ID problem I suspected.

Also the beginning of the data looks like valid ATRAC3+ (in the hexdump
screenshot you posted), so I have no immediate idea what might be wrong.
